Pa while ago, there were rumors that Priyadarshan had made his mind up about not doing any more Malayalam films. He said that he was tired of the hostility that he faced in the industry.
It is a different story that the director didn't have any qualms about remaking Malayalam films (legally or illegally) in Hindi. His much-awaited new project in Hindi will be the Bollywood remake of 'Manichitrathaaz'. He had completed the shooting of his new film last week.
The Hindi version stars Vidya Balan, Sunil Shetty and others in the lead roles. He had completed the entire film in 60 days. Mumbai and Jaipur were the main locations. He now has two new films in Hindi.
He now intends to return to Malayalam. The director has already started discussion works for the film. Jagadeesh and director Viji Thambi were the main participants at the discussion. He'll be completing this film before going to Bollywood and making his Hindi flicks.
