Kamal’s `Goal` on May 11!

Guess the most eagerly awaited Summer release in Malayalam? It is not a Mammootty or Mohanlal film, but director Kamal's Goal with all newcomers! The film with the backdrop of a boarding school in Ootty, has football as the theme.

Goal is introducing a host of newcomers, including its hero 19 year old Rejith Menon and a 16 year old Mumbai model Aksha, along with Mukta George who played a pivotal role in Lal Jose's Achan Urangatha Veedu. The others in the cast are Rahman, who plays a football coach, Mukesh, Jenny (Meera Jasmine's sister), Salim Kumar among others. The film has some great music by Vidyasagar, and camera is by P.Sukumar.

Goal releases this Friday(May 11) and is eagerly awaited by the youth audience in Kerala. Kamal is one director who understands the pulse of the youth and has dished out hits with newcomers like Niram, Nammal, Swapnakoodu etc. A lot of hope is riding on this romantic sports movie.

`Time` delayed!

Suresh Gopi's Shaji Kailas directed Time, scheduled to release on May 11, and has been delayed due to post-production work. The film is an action adventure story of an honest cop, who gets framed up by his colleagues and corrupt politicians.

The film is said to be loosely based on the recent case in Kerala Police, where a top IPS officer unearthed the illegal pirated VCD's in a studio owned by the wife of another IPS officer! Shaji and Gopi the best director- actor combination who makes political thrillers, is said to have made Time racy.

The film is also Vimala Raman's debut film in Malayalam, with Padmapriya playing a social crusader. Now the film has been shifted to May 17.
