A trained dancer doing a dancers role is not acting. But if a man who is NOT trained as a dancer, does a dancer's role to perfection, THAT is acting.
WITHOUT face-changing makeup, if a person can identify himself deeply with a character and play it out, THAT is acting.
If a person can get a social message across through finely modulated and effectively rendered dialogues without bursting out and using 'punch-dialogues', THAT is acting
And these are what makes Mohanlal different from your superheroes.
