Fazil is back!

Fazil, one of the trendsetting directors who have made some of the most memorable love stories in Malayalam and Tamil during the last 27 years, is back with a new Tamil film.

His creations have no villains, violence, dialogue with double meaning or crass comedy. They are all feel-good romantic movies with melodious songs set against family background and had stories with an emotional twist in the climax that have always worked wonders at the box-office.

Now after three years break Fazil is back with a new Tamil film featuring Pritviraj and Mamtha Mohandas, which will be produced by ace director Priyadarsan in association with Reliance Entertainment. Says Fazil: " I have just completed the script, other things are being worked out. It will be a emotional and moving love story set against a murder mystery background."

Some of Fazil's memorable movies in Malayalam were remade in Tamil like Varusham 16, Poove Poochoodava and the classic, Kathalukku Mariyadai and they were all blockbusters. They speak from the heart and have worked magic with the masses and classes alike.

Says Fazil: "I am most comfortable doing love stories set against a family backdrop, which is also the favourite format in world cinema. Even today, 10 years after its release, `Titanic' remains the biggest box-office hit of all times!"
