Meera Jasmine, the mercurial actress is to be issued a show cause notice by Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).

All top Malayalam stars like Mammootty, Mohanlal, and Dileep have insisted that action be taken against her “for not giving dates to Twenty:20, a film being produced by AMMA”! Meera Jasmine is one actress whom everybody in Malayalam film industry loves to hate. They all say-“Whenever Meera wants something, she will cuddle up to you and get it. But the moment you ask her for a favour, she looks through you.” Dileep who is producing Twenty:20, for AMMA in which 67 artists are involved had asked Meera for eight days of her call sheet.

Dileep was shocked when she told him that she is too busy doing films in three languages in south, and can’t find time to do the film. Dileep is reported to have told her that she is not as busy as Nayanthara, the “Queen of South India”, who found time and did an item song in the film for five days! This made Meera see red and from then she refused to take any call from AMMA.

Mohanlal and Mammootty who are definitely more busy than Meera, found time to act in the film. They also feel that she has an “attitude problem”, and in the past she has made critical comments about them. Now Bhavana will replace Meera in the film. But what has irked AMMA the most is that after saying she has no dates, Meera has gone and given director Kamal bulk dates for his Minnaminikootam!

Recently on the sets of Inathe Chintavishyam, she made the unit wait, for four hours during the shoot of a song. Mohanlal, Sathyan Anthikad planned to shoot the song early in the morning at 6 am in a botanical garden near Theni, but the production manager reported that “Madam was sleeping in her room”. When Meera finally came to the location around 10 am, she tried to ease the tension by asking the unit members the name of the flowers at the botanical garden.

She went up to Mohanlal, who was upset by her late arrival and asked him the name of a particular flower.

Meera - Lal etta ithu entho poova? (what is the name of this flower?)

Mohanlal - Ithu kshamayude poo aanu mole..(This is called Patience flower dear!)

His cryptic reply made the entire unit burst into a laugh, on the last day of the shoot.
