and reg problem between mani and thala.. it is more of mani's treatment of thala. when alaipaayuthey was started, shalini and thala met mani and they were keen to act in the movie. but mani was adamant on casting a fresh face for that role.

if u remember.. thala normally expresses the displeasure of big directors not preferring him in his earlier days..

though he didnt take this to heart.. both had a misunderstanding in aayutha ezuthu..
surya's role was offered to thala and at first he agreed .. but mani offered him very less salary ..

but mani started to change the roles.. vikram / vijay was given the surya role ..and suddnely thala was given madhavan role.. srikanth / maddy was chosen for sidhaarth role.

these things upset thala and he pulled off from the project :) telling that he doesnt want to act in a movie with political message.

but after that, he acted in JI.. and that was a political movie

at that time kajol was a hit in the north and mani offered have very less salary (30% of what she was receiving at that time)

kajol immediatley said NO for the role

and mani must have felt like

that was a poor decision from him i think

and when tamil film nerukku ner was under production

initially ajith and vijay were booked to play the roles

vasanth completed 50% of the movie which had all portions of vijay

then when he started shooting the portions with ajith who became popular at that time

sac dropped in and forced vasanth to remove him from that project and vasanth couldnt do anything since he had already shot 50% of the movie with ajith

so.. ajith was thrown out of the project.

that is why he never acted in vasanth films after that and in mani's productions :)

might be.. but as he said in the interview.. comfortability is important for him

salary and other things are not important for him.. :)

since he had bitter experience during nerukku ner he didnt want a repeat of that :D :D

i dont think aayutha ezuthu was a great film... it is worth a miss :)

vijay didnt have anything to do with that.. i think :) at that time.. he was growing.. and so do ajith.. both were not big stars.. blame should go to sac :)

The audio sales of Billa 2007 movie starring Thala Ajith Kumar, Nayantara, Namitha and directed by Vishnuvardhan has created a record sales in its audio. The Billa movie audio was released on Monday and according to sources on the first day sold out 22 thousand copies.

These kind of sales has not been seen in the recent past for any other movie. The last big sale of audio casettes and CD of a moive was for Rajinikanth starrer Shivaji-The Boss. Ayngaran audio who debuted into the audio sales world with Billa 2007 is trilled with this and has dispached 15 thousand more audio cassettes and CD’s into the market, adds a source.
