Go To....

Dear Admin,

The days of 5-page threads are passe.
Fat threads of 30 pages or more are the norm today.
As members multiply, posts skyrocket and threads burgeon at unprecedented rates.
Threads on controversial issues like the recent "Anti Sivaji Squad", swell to garangutan proportions in no time, as a consequence of which, they become really hard to navigate thru.

The current "Go To" function for selecting pages in a thread is insufficient. Only 3-4 page numbers are displayed, which is of no use in finding page 36 of a 60-page mammoth thread.
Currently we are left with no option but to keep clicking "next page" until we get to page 36.

Hence we need a refined "Go To" function with a field wherein we can type the required page number and press "Go To" to get to that page. That'll make life a lot more easier.

i had this issue before, but i found a shortcut for that.

for ex. this is the 15 th page of a topic

i used to change the last number (210) which is the no of posts till that page i belive
if u change that to 1000, it will go to that page... (page 67 in this case)

:D

try changing that number to 500,700.....
u can jump to somewhere near to the page u want!!!!
